SEM OBA Scholarship Award

St. Joseph’s College, Nainital, Old Boys Association also known as SEMOBA has instituted a scholarship award for meritorious students to be known as the “OBA Scholarship”

FOR ICSE 2019 BATCH

For the first year (2019), two top scoring students in ICSE examination conducted in March 2019 shall receive an annual scholarship award of Rs. 30,000.00 (Rupees Thirty Thousand Only) EACH as Scholarship for their Class 11 studies in St. Joseph’s College, Nainital. This amount so awarded to the students shall be adjusted against the fee payable by their parent/guardian to the school.

FOR SUBSEQUENT ICSE BATCHES

From the second year onwards, the two students awarded in the previous year will continue to receive the scholarship for their Class 12 studies, and Scholarship for Class 11 studies in St. Joseph’s College, Nainital will also be awarded to two new students chosen again from the ICSE examinations conducted that year. Henceforth, this shall become a concurrent scholarship. This amount so awarded to the students shall be adjusted against the fee payable by their parent/guardian to the school.

TERMS &CONDITIONS:

  • This scholarship is NOT a cash award and will be adjusted against the fee payable by the awardee’s parent/guardian to the school.
  • In case for some reason whatsoever the student awarded this scholarship leaves school mid-term or after graduating Class 11, or if the Scholar getting the scholarship fails to graduate to Class 12 from Class 11 for any reason whatsoever, then the Sum of the scholarship shall revert back to the school, which would then be free to utilize the additional funds for infrastructure development.
  • In case the Topper or the second top scoring student of ICSE from St. Joseph’s College does not join back in Class 11 then the next highest scoring student who joins back in Class 11 shall be entitled for this scholarship.
  • The number of students awarded this scholarship annually shall never exceed two unless and until there are more than two students who have scored identical marks in the Board Examinations. In that case the scholarship money will be equally divided amongst all of them. If there are two toppers then they will be given the scholarship and no second place will be awarded. In case there are two students eligible for second place scholarship then the scholarship will be equally divided amongst the two of them.
