Description:
The “News Literacy Programme “session 4 was attended by our Social Justice Team. The following Social Justice Animators and Students selected for the programme participated. Social Justice Animators (1) Mr. Edwin John L D Gama (2) Mr. Amit David Massey Student Participants: [1] Lakshika Joshi (Class 11 Science) [2] Vinayak Nath (Class 11 Science) [3] Aarav Bohra (Class 11 Science) [4] Siddharth Kunwar (Class 11 Commerce) [5] Om Sharma (Class 9).
Today’s Session was a lot of gratification, encouraging, motivating and invigorate. It started with glad tidings. The third assignment which was the battle of memes (best of the best) – St Joseph’s College, Nainital was announced the news desk of the week and all of us – our animators, my team we all are so contended and cheerful.
We had two guests today from the mass media who also report for the welfare of the country. First, we all got a chance to interact and interrelate with Mr. Tanmay Sukumar and got to know a lot more things and obviously as two journalists had joined us for the session we had so many questions and queries. So, we got a chance to clear all of the doubts we had.
The second panelist was Mam Geetika Sachdev who also works in mass media and has covered a lot of welfare stories till now.
The most important and to be noted thing we got to know today is “Accuracy and Criticism”. On a global scale the journalists have to face so much of criticism and reprove and despite that they have to cover most accurate, readable and informative stories without spices. The aim of every journalist or motto is “TO BE ABLE TO PUT UP NOTHING THAN TO PUT UP FALSE AND FAKE NEWS”
Summing up today’s session it was really delightful, overjoyed and euphoric to enjoy the fourth session of news literacy programme.
