Alumni serve a valuable role to build and grow an institution's brand through word-of-mouth. The Principal Br. Hector capitalized on this opportunity to provide mentoring and career aims to the students by initiating an interactive session with SEMOBA ( SEM Old Boys Association). Maj Gen Jaswal (retd) of Batch 1963 accompanied by his brother Dr. Ashish Jaswal Batch 1960 and Mr.Prem Kapil Batch 1964 along with GC of SEMOBA Mr.Harish Tiwari (President) and Mr.Noman Siddiqui ( Treasurer) addressed the students and shared their experience at SEM.
Maj Gen Jaswal (retd) apprised the students about his expansive career spanning four decades with the Indian Army to inspire the students to take up a career in the armed forces. Responding to several questions put up by the students he later enchanted the audience by playing a popular patriotic number and SEM’s Anthem on the trumpet which he amusingly addressed as - "blowing his own trumpet".
SEM OBA extended its deepest gratitude to the Principal Brother Hector Pinto for not only accepting this initiative and giving permission to SEMOBA to hold this interaction but coming forward and organising it whole-heartedly.
